With the big game coming up this weekend, I’m sure many of you are in planning mode, too. Around here, we’re all making lists of our favorite game-day treats, shopping for ingredients and definitely looking forward to snacking – maybe more so than the game itself. It’s a tradition in our family to gather at my parent’s house for the game – and since our team hasn’t been in the Super Bowl for many years, it’s become all about the food (and the commercials, right?) and that’s a-ok with me.When sifting through my massive collections of recipes that I want to eventually share with you all, I realized that I’ve never shared this delicious pizza dip – so I knew immediately that it needed to happen, and stat.
This dip is perfect for entertaining because it’s SO easy. It takes about five minutes to put together and when you pull it out of the oven all bubbly and cheesy, you’ll be glad it’s in your party repertoire!
My first order of pizza-dip business was a quick trip into Sam’s Club to stock up on Ragu®. You guys, I am all about my big old jars of Ragu®. I use it all of the time, for all different kinds of recipes. For one, the ingredient list makes me feel good about what I’m feeding my family – Ragu® has a long tradition of quality ingredients. My kids love it as a quick pasta sauce, and I love it as a base for tons of other recipes – so it’s great that I can buy it in bulk at Sam’s Club. This 3-pack of 45-ounce bottles comes in really handy when I’m planning all of my game day recipes!
Beyond the pizza dip, I also made mini lasagna rolls, baked mozzarella sticks with Ragu® dipping sauce, and mini meatball subs, coated in – you guessed it – Ragu®. There are lots of other great recipe ideas here – check them out, too!
Here’s the thing – if it wasn’t for Ragu®, my Super Bowl prep would have been much more difficult. I was able to whip up four really tasty recipes in no time – and when you’re making that quantity of food, it’s definitely a plus when it’s so easy (and delicious!)
This pizza dip though…let’s talk about it.
The dip goes together in layers – the bottom layer is cream cheese, then topped with two alternating layers of Ragu®, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese – and capped off with a layer of pepperoni. You can add other pizza toppings if you want – or not – whatever you like. Make it YOUR tradition!
I get a lot of questions about buying in bulk – we only have a family of four, but we still definitely take full advantage of our Sam’s Club membership. Especially with all of the baking I do – but I have to tell you that if you do any sort of entertaining at all, Sam’s Club will be a life saver for you. It’s easy to turn your family gatherings into yearly traditions when the planning, preparation and execution is so easy!
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did. Have fun at your game day parties, and I hope your team wins. At the very least, enjoy this pizza dip and the commercials!
Enjoy!
