Share-It Saturdays

Share-It Saturday: Week 8

Another busy week has come and gone, so today we are just going to stay home and do everything we can to not go anywhere.  The house is decorated for fall, my mums are planted and the leaves are starting to turn colors, so I think we’ll just enjoy the weather and the lazy day.
That’s not to say that I won’t squeeze some baking in, and probably do my best to guilt my husband into some of those chores that neither of us wants to do, but compared to our crazy, busy weeks – that sounds like a pretty relaxing day.
Hope you are enjoying this weekly feature, and I do hope that you’ll take some time to link your favorite projects of the week.  For my non-blogging friends, I hope you’re finding some new, fun blogs to add to your readers.
Have a great week, everyone!  Happy Fall!

Desiree at Macke Monolouges made this awesome apricot bread this week.  I have to tell you though, I’m most excited about the orange honey spread that goes with it.  We’ll definitely be giving this a try in my household – what a fun way to incorporate some different flavors into my fall baking! Desiree has the cutest little boy who makes frequent appearances on her blog, so be sure to check it out.

Karen shared these adorable Hidden Peppermint Patties over on Baking in a Tornado.  (How cute is that blog name?)  These grabbed my attention immediately because they’re so cute – I was excited to find they were one of my favorite treats baked into a cookie!  And Karen, I use a real calendar, too.  There’s just something about seeing everything in writing.

Since I just put up my own fall decorations, I was drawn to these cute pumpkins from Busy Bees.   I consider myself only mildly crafty, but I’m always inspired by you all to expand my horizons a bit, so I might start with something like this.  Thanks for sharing them!

I can’t wait to see what you share this week!  Please help me grow this link party and do spread the word!  And as a little party favor, please grab a button before you go.

[…] Fall is probably my most fave season of the year…and, that’s because I love apples!  Since it’s Fall…since apples are in season…since my foodie friend Uncle Gary’s Gourmet Peppers brought me some of his product, and since I love bacon and aged cheddar cheese, I created the ‘Apples Bacon Gourmet Peppers & Aged Cheddar Cheese Rounds.’ These look like littl’ pies with the criss cross cheese strips, crispy bacon, and the spiciness of the gourmet peppers!  It’s hard to decided what the category of culinary delight they are…appetizer, snack, salad, dessert, entree…oh, heck, all of ‘em!  I’m sharing this recipe…check out these great recipe parties for more yummmers!  ’Share-It Saturday’ […]
