Hi all! Erin and I Intermet some time ago. When I found her site I marvelled at her photos and food. And her photos of food. How could you not. So when she asked if I’d like to do a guest post, I sure SURE! Actually, I think what I said was Um … really? Me? O.K. It’s your blog’s reputation you brave, brave lemon woman. So I searched around to find a recipe I thought would work well on Erin’s site. And by “work well”, I mean one that has the least amount of swearing in it. I think I found the recipe. Homemade pizza sauce. It’s easy, you probably have the ingredients for it right now, and it takes no time at all. Best of all, it’s a pretty much swear free recipe. You won’t swear when you prepare it, you won’t swear when you cook it, you won’t swear when you eat it. Well … you might, but they’ll be swear words of joy.
I’m about to say something very, very controversial and I want you to prepare yourselves for it. By prepare yourselves, I mean get ready to gasp and slap the person sitting closest to you. It’s entirely possible someone is about to take legal action against me for what I’m about to say. Someone might indeed sue me. I would like to officially declare that …
Lebanese people make the best pizza in the world.
Just saute the garlic in some olive oil for a little bit, then shove in everything else and simmer until reduced to pizza sauce thickness. Takes about a half an hour or so. If you don’t happen to have 4 cups of home pressed tomatoes around you can use crushed tomatoes or even tomato juice with a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste added in. (the tomato juice and tomato paste concoction will take longer to reduce)

Ah this looks super easy! I’ve always bought my pizza sauce before too….or my pizza. So now I can stop doing that.
Oh and Karen, I would just like to thank you for introducing us to Erin! What a lovely blog!
